NW artisan, Ann Brown, of Brown Bags,
Has been designing and creating leather handbags to a devoted clientele, in Seattle’s Pike Place Market since 1985.
She picked up the leathercraft while working her way through college at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston Mass., and has yet to put it down.
“Making my own Bags came out of necessity. I couldn’t find one that would stand the wear and tear I inflicted upon them. Thus Brown Bags was born. With a combination of simple designs, beautiful cowhide, and double-stitched seams, I create a chic handbag that will hold up to the highest standards."
